Draft Delivery Agreement for the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Local Development Plan 2025 - 2045
1.0 Introduction Comment
1.1 Comprising a Community Involvement Scheme and Timetable for preparing a replacement Local Development Plan (LDP) and made in accordance with The Town and Country Planning (Local Development Plan) (Wales) Regulations 2005 (as amended 2015) and Section 75[2] guidance, this Delivery Agreement was approved by resolution of the National Park Authority on [insert date] before agreement of the Welsh Government on [insert date].
1.2 The function of preparing the replacement LDP will be exercised as part of carrying out sustainable development[3] in your National Park for the purpose of ensuring that the development and use of land contribute to improving the economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being of Wales.
1.3 The LDP will need to be in general conformity and therefore closely co-ordinated with the National Development Framework for Wales (currently Future Wales: The National Plan 2040), and three Strategic Development Plans prepared to different timetables by the Mid, South-west and South-east Wales Corporate Joint Committees.
1.4 Whilst all efforts will be made to follow the delivery agreement, if the National Park Authority has reasonable grounds to believe that it would not be likely to prejudice any person's opportunity to be involved in preparing the replacement LDP, then it does not need to comply with a particular requirement of the Community Involvement Scheme.
1.5 Any significant amendment to the timetable or community involvement scheme will also require agreement of Welsh Government.
